Recharging my inner batteries
Decided to go "screw it" with internship work for one day and do nothing for several hours straight. I didn't expect that to be the best decision I've ever made in a while; I'm now all pumped up and ready to conquer another day.
This moment made me re-learn an important lesson: that it's 100% okay for me to wind down every now and then. I've been surrounded by the hustle culture and "hard work pays" mindset for so long that I often hate myself for simply resting. This time, though? It's different. I actually feel way better than if I decided to push through with whatever's on my software development backlog.
So yeah, if there's anyone reading this: give yourself a break, if possible. Or give yourself a treat. You deserve it.
